God’s Helpers<\/strong><\/p>\n

God could not be in every place
\nWith loving hands to help erase
\nThe teardrops from each baby’s face,
\nAnd so He thought of mother. <\/p>\n

He could not send us here alone
\nAnd leave us to a fate unknown;
\nWithout providing for His own,
\nThe outstretched arms of mother. <\/p>\n

God could not watch us night and day
\nAnd kneel beside our crib to pray,
\nOr kiss our little aches away;
\nAnd so He sent us mother. <\/p>\n

And when our childhood days began,
\nHe simply could not take command.
\nThat’s why He placed our tiny hand
\nSecurely into mother’s. <\/p>\n

The days of youth slipped quickly by,
\nLife’s sun rose higher in the sky.
\nFull grown were we, yet ever nigh
\nTo love us still, was mother. <\/p>\n

And when life’s span of years shall end,
\nI know that God will gladly send,
\nTo welcome home her child again,
\nThat ever-faithful mother.<\/p>\n
