The last time the dam was cleaned out was many years ago.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hulettscurrent.com\/pictures\/Dam1.jpg\"><br \/>\n<em>Sand, sediment and stones had built up along one side.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hulettscurrent.com\/pictures\/Dam3.jpg\"><br \/>\n<em>Work was done with the DEC&#8217;s approval, in an environmentally friendly way.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hulettscurrent.com\/pictures\/Dam4.jpg\"><br \/>\n<em>When completed, the sand and gravel had been removed.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hulettscurrent.com\/pictures\/Dam5.jpg\"><br \/>\n<em>The access point was covered when the job was completed.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Many thanks to all those who made this environmentally-needed project a success.
