Rip-rapping shores of islands including getting a bond issue passed for for $10,000 in 1917<br \/>\n2. Removing illegal squatters from state islands<br \/>\n3. Promoting camping and other forms of recreation at Lake George<br \/>\n4. Taking photographs;  Giving talks with slides; publishing pamphlets<br \/>\n5. Making friends\u2026 including FDR, Al Smith, George Foster Peabody, etc.<br \/>\n6. Blowing the Whistle\u2026Making enemies\u2026including Robert Moses<br \/>\n7. Giving talks to civic organizations<br \/>\n8. Joining organizations\u2026and forming new ones, including the Lake George Protective Association and the New York Forest Preserve Association<br \/>\n9. Developing neighborhood associations (in Huddle Bay and Turtle Bay)<br \/>\n10.
